Stylish and Sustainable: Branded Lanyards That Make an Impact Down Under
In the fast-paced world of events, trade shows and workplaces, few promotional items are as practical — or as visible — as the humble lanyard. Once considered a simple ID holder, today’s branded lanyards have evolved into stylish, sustainable and powerful marketing tools used across Australia.
From conferences in Sydney to sporting events in Perth, promotional lanyards are helping businesses and organisations boost visibility, promote eco-friendly values and create lasting impressions.
Why Lanyards Are a Branding Powerhouse
- Constant visibility
Unlike flyers or business cards that get tucked away, lanyards are worn — meaning your logo stays in full view throughout the day. Whether used at corporate functions, schools, concerts or expos, branded lanyards turn attendees into walking billboards for your brand. - Function meets fashion
Gone are the days of plain, single-use polyester lanyards. Modern designs offer endless customisation — from full-colour printing to woven or sublimated finishes. With high-quality materials and sleek clips, your lanyard becomes both practical and stylish. - Affordable and versatile
Few promotional products offer such wide reach at such a low cost. Perfect for bulk ordering, promotional lanyards are ideal for everything from staff uniforms and conferences to fundraisers and product launches.
The Rise of Sustainable Lanyards in Australia
As more Australian businesses embrace sustainability, eco-friendly branding options are on the rise — and lanyards are no exception. At Express Promo, we offer environmentally conscious alternatives made from recycled PET fabric and bamboo fibres, helping you make an impact without increasing your environmental footprint.
Eco-friendly branded lanyards not only look great but also demonstrate your commitment to corporate responsibility — something that resonates strongly with modern audiences.

Every detail counts when it comes to creating a memorable impression. With Express Promo’s promotional lanyards, you can customise every aspect to reflect your brand identity:
- Material:Â Choose from polyester, bamboo, woven, or recycled PET.
- Decoration method:Â Opt for screen printing, dye sublimation, or woven embroidery.

Colourflex transfers are a CMYK+W digital print process, used for branding apparel and fabrics.
Direct to product digital printing involves the transfer of ink directly from the print heads of an inkjet machine to the product and can be used to produce both spot colour and full colour branding on flat or slightly curved surfaces.
Screen printing is achieved by forcing ink through a fine mesh screen with a squeegee onto the product and is ideal for branding flat or cylindrical objects.
Resin coated finish is produced by printing the artwork onto a vinyl material with strong adhesive on the reverse. The branded area is coated with a crystal clear resin which is allowed to dry. Once dry, the finished decal is applied to the product and the adhesive forms a permanent bond.

Debossing is produced by pressing a hot engraved metal plate into the surface of a product with a lot of pressure. This produces a permanent image below the surface of the product. Some products offer thermo debossing, which creates a stunning two-tone finish.
Sublimation print is used for branding products that have a special coating on them or fabrics suitable for the sublimation process. A transfer is produced by printing sublimation ink onto transfer paper and then heat pressing it onto the product.
Imitation etch is a special pad printing ink used for producing an etch like effect on glass products.
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer an image to a product from a laser etched printing plate. It is one of the most popular and affordable ways of branding promotional products due to its ability to reproduce images on uneven or curved products and print multiple colours in a single pass.
